What happens to my recycling?

Your recycling boxes are emptied every week by our recycling staff with each material being sorted into specially designed kerbside recycling vehicles. We operate a source seperated collection method which means that in order to recycle everything you give us, we store each material seperatly. Cans into the can cage, plastic into the plastic cage and so on. We dont want the paper you give us being contaminated with shards of glass! This is why we ask you to sort your recycling into two boxes for us.

After your recycling has been collected it is transported back to our Recycling Centre. Here the trucks are offloaded and each material is stored ready to be sent for recycling.
