Ethical House Clearances The Community Furniture Shop in Newport can now offer an Ethical House Clearance Service to residents in Newport. Clearing a property following a bereavement or through relocation can be an upsetting and stressful time. Possessions gathered over many years being discarded and possibly ending up in landfill will add to the feeling of loss and anxiety. Wastesavers new ethical service offers a different type of house clearance. We will collect surplus items but will ensure that as many of these items as possible will be reused or recycled. |

Furniture and Electrical Reuse: Newport Wastesavers Community Furniture Project collects unwanted furniture and electrical items donated from residents in Newport. These items are then redistributed to the public with heavy discounts given to those on low incomes.
Wastesavers furniture project has been running for more than 20 years, reducing the amount of bulky household waste sent to landfill and providing high quality, low cost 'pre-loved' furniture to the people of Newport. Until 2006 Wastesavers only sold its items to people on low income however we thought this was a little unfair. There are 1,000's of people in Newport who would love to benefit from high quality furniture and as such we began selling to everyone, with a 20% discount (on our already low prices) to anyone in receipt of certain benefits.
